Even though Netflix cancels shows all the time, the fact that the first season ends on a very big cliffhanger could make it more likely than usual that the show will be renewed. Even so, Netflix has canceled shows before, like 1899, despite this, we have a good feeling about this one.

The first episode of The Snow Girl came out on Friday, January 27, 2023. If the show comes back for a second season, new episodes could come as early as the beginning of 2024. Even so, the future of the show is still uncertain, which is sad.
We probably won’t find out more until a month or two after the start, since that’s how long it usually takes Netflix to decide whether or not to renew a show based on how many people watch it.

What Will Be the Plot of The Snow Girl Season 2?
The first season of The Snow Girl ends with a repeat in mind. Even though Amaya’s case has been solved, Miren’s envelope from the book signing still needs to be dealt with.
On the outside is a note that says, “Want to play?” Inside is a Polaroid of another girl being held captive, almost exactly like Amaya. Iris is dead, though, so who sent this picture to Miren? Why do they make fun of her? Who is the girl in the picture? This might be the most important question.
At the end of episode one of The Snow Girl, none of these questions are easily answered, but Javier Castillo’s book The Souls Game (El juego del alma) could give some hints. There, Miren goes to New York to look into the crucifixion of a 15-year-old girl and how it may or may not be related to the new Polaroid.
In the second season of The Snow Girl, we might learn more about Miren’s past, especially the time she was sexually assaulted. At the end of the first season, we still don’t know who did it, and we can’t see Miren ignoring that in a possible second season.
The Snow Girl season 2 Star Cast
Fans can be sure that Milena Smit will be back as the brave writer Miren Rojo if The Snow Girl comes back for a second season. It’s likely that José Coronado will be back as Eduardo, but it’s hard to say much else about the group.
Characters who died in the first season, like David Luque, probably won’t come back. However, the show likes to jump around in time, and flashbacks could help answer some of the big questions that still haven’t been answered.
If that’s the case, Tristán Ulloa might come back as David Luque, but other people from Amaya’s case might not. For example, Loreto Mauleón probably only did one scene as Ana Nez, Amaya’s mother.
