Even after 25 years, they still have to deal with ghosts and make peace with their past. The people who make Yellowjackets have said in the past that they have plots for five seasons. That doesn’t mean that the show has been picked up for five more seasons.
Even though Succession will only have four seasons, the plan will stay the same as when the show’s creators said it would have four to five. It does mean that, if everything goes as planned, season 3 will be the most important part of the story. If our math is right, it will be the second summer in the wild for the girls, Travis, and maybe Ben and Javi as well.
That sounds like good news. When it was warmer, it was easier for the people who were still alive to take care of themselves. Also, it was easier not to die from the weather like Jackie did.
We wouldn’t say for sure that this show won’t have some daylight/warm-weather fear for Midsommar, though. We think Season 3 will be, in a way, the Yellowjackets’ worst summer ever.
The Cast of Yellowjackets Season 3
Yellowjackets isn’t exactly the show with the most guest stars. But the news about who would be in season 2 was one of the most exciting parts of the time between season 1 and season 2. Simone Kessell, Lauren Ambrose, Francois Arnaud, and Elijah Wood joined the cast in the second season.
What well-known child actors from the 1990s and 2000s will join the company next, either as grown-up versions of the original characters or as new characters? The group would be even better with Thora Birch or Gabrielle Union. What about Jaleel White, Soleil Moon Frye, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Jennifer Love Hewitt?
We could keep going. Do you guys get the feeling that there are other people out there in the wild? We kind of do. At the very least, it wouldn’t surprise us if they ran into another group of people. Simone Kessell’s character, Lottie as an adult, has been doing some shady things in the last few years.
Lauren Ambrose has played Vanessa “Van” Palmer in the present day. Ambrose married the writer and director Sam Handel in September 2001. They also share Orson, who is their son, and a daughter. In Yellowjackets’s second season, Elijah Wood made his first appearance as Walter, a regular guest character.
